Farmers’ Markets FAQ

What markets do you go to?

During the summer months (May/June through to October) we go to the Haliburton Farmers’ Market on Tuesdays, the Peterborough Downtown Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays, the Lakefield Farmers’ Market on Thursdays, the Abbey Gardens Farmers’ Market on Fridays, and both the Peterborough Regional Farmers’ Market and the Minden Farmers’ Market on Saturdays. Please visit here to see details about where each market takes place and to view their operating hours.

What Peterborough market are you at on Saturdays?

We are at the Peterborough Regional Farmers’ Market on Saturdays, located at the corner of Charlotte and Aylmer Streets in the Quaker Foods Park.

Do you grow everything you sell?

We are proud to grow 100% of the produce we sell at farmers’ markets. We also bring jam and preserves made on-site with our own produce, as well as our own pure maple syrup that we collected from trees tapped on our farm.

Are farmers’ markets cash only?

Methods of payment accepted vary by the vendor, but we are able to accept cash, debit, and credit at all of the farmers’ markets we attend.

What do you bring to markets?

The selection of produce we bring to farmers’ markets is constantly evolving and changes a little bit every week. We bring our jams, syrups, and preserves to every market throughout the year, but the produce typically begins mid-May with rhubarb and new items are added as they come into season. Visit here for an up-to-date list of produce availability.
